Prescribed Burn II

"Prescribed Burn” is a multipurpose  control unit for wood burning and light use, high speed rotary carving. It has a much higher heating rate than other units on the market, and a much faster recovery time of heat loss at the wire tip. The temperature adjustment is also much finer than in other units and the hand piece will stay cooler to the touch [dependent on wire size, length, etc.]. This unit contains a universal power supply compatible with  110V to 220V, and 50/60Hz, making it easy to use overseas with the correct cord [also available upon request]. The included micro motor is a brushless 0-50K rpm unit with 1/4 turn quick disconnect collet [1/8” collet size]. Both sides of the unit can be run simultaneously if needed [two people working]. The unit is compact at 6” x 9” x 2” H and only weighs 2.23 lb. without the hand pieces. Each burner handpiece is hand built by Jacques Vesery and can be customized to fit your needs. The standard handpiece included has a 12 gauge power cord to handle greater temperatures and the heads can take nichrome wire gauges up to 14G [larger will fit but is not recommended]. Smaller diameter  handpieces with lighter gauge power cords are also available.
